EvoTears®

Dry eye is one of the most common diseases in ophthalmology. In almost 60% of those affected, the cause is a so-called lipid phase disorder⁽¹⁾, which is manifested by complaints such as watery and burning eyes. Often the complaints are more pronounced in the morning. Causes of these complaints can be the intensive use of PC, smartphone and laptop. But also drafts, air conditioning or unfavorable climatic influences such as cold wind can promote these complaints. With EvoTears®, an unprecedented therapy class for the treatment of dry eyes due to a lipid phase disorder has been available since 2015. EvoTears®, the unique⁽²⁾ lipid replacement, convinces with its efficacy and tolerability and is suitable for the majority of dry eye sufferers.

STEP 1: Hold bottle with the dropper tip facing up and squeeze gently. Note: We recommend using in front of the mirror.

STEP 2: Before moving the bottle to the eye: Turn squeezed bottle with the dropper tip facing down and then immediately release the pressure. Air flows into the bottle.

STEP 3: Continue to hold bottle with the dropper tip down and guide it over the eye. Apply only one drop to each eye by pressing lightly on the bottle and close the bottle again.

If you wear contact lenses, you should not use EvoTears® because there are insufficient data on compatibility with contact lens materials.

The lipophilic, i.e. oil-like, property of perfluorohexyloctane allows EvoTears® products to take over the function of the lipid layer. The resulting effective evaporation protection creates satisfied patients. In addition, the aqueous phase of the tear film is stabilized and watery eyes are prevented.

Thanks to lipophilic property, a velvety feeling is created in the eye during application.

EvoTears® is available as a single pack (3 ml). Each bottle contains at least 280 drops and you can use the eye drops for 6 months after opening.
